Fishies

Will fish be modelled in sh4?

Spray 03-14-07 08:46 AM

No, imagine all the processing power that would need.

Morts 03-14-07 08:48 AM

aww:-?

TDK1044 03-14-07 08:49 AM

You'll see plankton and algae at periscope depth from time to time.

Drebbel 03-14-07 08:50 AM

I am sure there will be atleast 1 fish (and I do not mean a torpedo) in SH4.

I will shine Neil his shoes in case I am wrong :D

Thats not as hard to animate as a 3D object which will have to bend and turn and move. Unless they make them 2D fish which swim at the same depth with no direction change.

Iron Budokan 03-14-07 09:04 AM

No fish.

I hope your being sarchastic thats why its a sub simulator not an aquatic wildlife simulator.

AirborneTD 03-14-07 10:15 AM

It would be nice to have some whale songs in the background once in a great while. Would add to the immersion but not much to the processing power required.

Oh, Dribble, you in trouble now.

Hitman 03-14-07 10:31 AM

SH3 had dolphins hidding in the code :ping: , and some talented modders managed to deliver them. For SH4 in the Pacific the appropiate would probably be SHARKS :D I'd really love to see a "big white" lurking around my boat with its finn out of the water instead of those boring dolphins (I will already have two golden dolphins in my brest by then;) ). How I envy the australians, who can see those fabulous animals at sea...:sunny:

Hmmm... Sharks nibbling at the feet of those
poor souls that just had their ship blown from
beneath their feet.... SWEET... :D

Flying fish landing on the deck would be nice, so I can reach out and grab one for dinner!
