GWX 1.02 strange crew manage
If I was submarged I transfer few crew members to unused diesel engine and this crew members tired very fast, but when I was surfaced and transfered crew members to electric engine they tired very slow. What's going on?
I read in GWX 1.02 manual about that diesel and electric have the same accumulation factors. There is some kind of bug, I think. |
If I remember correctly, fatigue accumulates only at TC 32x or lower. When surfaced you are probably running at high TC and no fatigue accumulates. When under water you are more likely to run at lower TC.

My advice, turn fatigue off with the magnificent bit of kit known as SH3Commander.
I am not a mother(yet), therefore I don't expect to tuck my crew into their bunks. :) |

Hi all, I just did a little test.
I put one machinist in the diesels and filled the rest of the slots with sailors, I than put three sailors in the electrics. That means that three sailors will stay put in both compartments while the rest moves back and forth. I then ordered standard ahead and put Tc to 256. Under the next eight hours, game time, I ordered Pd and surface, up and down until the whole crew threatened to kill me:stare: The result was this: the three sailors in the electric engines had not tired at all, the three in the diesels had tired a little and the rest, those that had moved back and forth had tired notably. Going at surface or at Pd in really heavy seas will tire your engine crew as they keep switching enginerooms even at high tc. |
Personaly I find having the 8Hr fatigue activated adds something to the game. Having to keep a close eye on things to make sure the fatigue levels are balanced throughout the crew. If I don't I could end up with either a slower reaload on torpedos or, worse repair crews not at their best when I need them most. It fills in time during the empty places in the seas anyway.

Agreed 3Jane, and I might add that I use the GWX 8Hr setting too:up:
