Compatibility X1950
 

Hi,

I've preorder the collector game, and, on the official web site i've read that the game is not compatible with my radeon 1950 pro:huh: My god, that impossible, do you know I can play anything ? Please help !

SH4 will run fine on the X1950 Pro, you can expect good framerates.

will ive got a 512mb 1800xtx and mine will get very good fps out of Oblivean saw im not wourid about SH4, but the thing is that your pc is only as good as your worst peace of kit thats in it saw id be looking at what else you've got. if you need any advise PM me your hardware specs with as much detail as possibule and ill look at them when i can.:up:

I have the X1950pro and its an amazing card!

Just double check you are running it on a suitable PSU (28amps on a single 12volt rail). If not you may not be getting max performance from it.

Depending on your motherboard/memory etc.. you should have a blinding experience with this card. In Oblivion I have everything maxed and its silky smooth!

Fastest AGP card on the market and a highly reccommended if you are looking to upgrade and you can't afford to upgrade your rig to PCI-E.

My PC is :
Intel Core 2 duo 6300, Motherboard is an Asus P5B, (1.86 Ghz), 2 Go RAM, Radeon X1950 Pro 256 Mo.

Asrocks makes a great MB that can run both AGP cards and PCI-E cards. With no performance loss!!

actually there is a performance loss and a MAJOR one, your pci express slot will only run at 4x while regular pcie slots run at x16 so your slot will be bottlenecking your video card big time

go with that 939 and u can get a fx60 for under 250$ these days but its still ddr , i recommened waiting a few more months for amds quadcore (intel quads suck compared to amd quads:up:)

No, there isn`t any performance loss, not acording to Legit review. ;) I also have Asrock Dual VSTA 775 (almoust the same, as 4CORE VSTA), and I get the same results with X800GTO2 as my friend, who has the same CPU (pentium d 805 @ 3.8ghz) and gfx card, but has an asus mb with 16x pci-e.

The X1950 XT is a fine graphics card indeed.

Out of curiosity, are you running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Vista? I'm planning on building a new machine in the next few days, and although I was going to install WinXP onto it, I'm now seriously entertaining 64-bit Vista Ultimate, as I can get a decent deal on an OEM version with the components for my build. I'm just not looking forward to the various driver growing pains. :shifty:

In the link you sent a guy is searching for the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2, for the same reason. Looks the Asrock did a poor job on the new MB :(
