Yeah! I am forced to resign from the 3rd PUAD Club. The circumstances are as follows:

1-Survived 3rd patrol
2-Got over 100 K tonnes Merchant shipping plus one of our beloved Black Swans
3-Managed to return to base (Lorient) without crashing into dock.

This was area of ops and depredations. Got Tommy quite upset, his airplanes made quite a nuisance of themselves. Including attacks after darkness,. Terribly uncivilized.

Here is the patrol report. It states 4th patrol. but 1st patrol was a harbour tour to give crew more experience--refered to in maritime circles as a shakedown cruise.

Yuppers, quite a busy sector. Large unescorted freighters every other day. 2 Convoys in one day.

On negative side: aircraft were a real nuisance and March 1941 got my first air attack at night--shocking :yep:

Just curious....what realism setting are you using?

I allow external view for screenies, map updates and keep the weapons officer. On this patrol, all ships were located by sound contacts, one of the convoys was reported by U-boat.

Patrolled primarly along line running NW to SE with ocassional high speed dashes south to see what was going on there. Didn't want to get too close to Gibraltar.

Weather was clear and initially rough seas got tamer with each passing day. I sank two ships with the deck gun

Dang, I just finished my 8th patrol and I've only been able to use the deck gun twice! LOL Stupid weather :( Gotta love that type 9 though, plenty of torps even if you dont get to use the guns!

Bummer on the weather--Right now, April 1941, dead calm, ran into a convoy thick with Black Swans. Nailed a Fiji. Black Swans gave me a severe dusting but life is good :sunny:
