Boundaries of the SH4 world
 

Does anyone know what the boundaries of the SH4 world will be ?

From East Africa to the US West Coast and Antartica to Alaska, with every thing between it ?

But the map below could indicate some parts if the US East coast are also simulated ?!

The map scrolls and you can sail west from the west coast of the US, and assuming fuel isn't an issue, eventually reach the US east coast.

We have the whole world is true, but we only have half of WWII ...
the Pacific half, which will hold me over for a long time, but
sooner or later I will want to venture out into the Gulf of Mexico.

Take a trip to Key West ... explore Chesepeke Bay, wind my way up the Hudson River, go back to Electric Boat in Groton, Conn and what will be there?

Nothing ... but I can dream for a modder to mod something and go visit their dreams too. :yep:

I bet the same modders who did the Kiel canal for SH3 will be anxious to do a Panama mod. After all, you always want to go bigger and bigger... :lol:

same as SH3 but this time the world is round not flatish like in the other there SH's and the AI should layout chould be like SH3 but with the emfasis on the pacific not the atlantic.

I bet you read the first bit and sang the last bit .

SH4 uses Orthodrome? Can that be true? I guess its still flat but wraps at the edge-of-the-world, no?

yes. in sh3 its something like, its cind of flat but not realy!:doh:

It will be interesting, as the list of cities comes in.
 

All we know for sure it that NY is there. But, what else might be? It will be a race to see what can be found. I think we are going to see a frenzy of exploring and modeling, as people plug-in details of home. I intend to take a very close look at Long Beach Harbor. I wonder if the Casino is there at Avalon?

So theoretically we can sail around the world. Neat. It's only a matter of time before the modders get hold of this and really make it shine....:up:
