Meeting in the Netherlands
 

I've read on subsim there were meetings with subsim-members.

What about one in the Netherlands. I know there was one in 2005 but I missed it :cry:

:up: 2007 should definately have an Intercontinental SubSim/SubClub meeting once again !

Experience in the past shows that one first needs organisers. Create a programm (which will not be final ever), spread the word around, and then only at the last moment people will let you know they will be coming.

Having a vote will result in many pro votes, but of those people 99% will not show up at all. But a vote could very well be used to establish what the general feeling is on having the meeting in country X, or continent Y.

I have also learned that it is a must to have locals living in the area the meeting is held. it will improve the experience a thousand times ! And makes organising it so much easier.

I had a great time, when we had this meeting in Holland.

Yeah, that was the best meeting of all.

I think we should alternate, our first was in London, then Texas, then Netherlands... so now we should have one in the US/Canada. If we could only get someone who lives near U-505 interested in hosting....:hmm:

Sunk the sub on the first try. For the second game (commanding the sub), I died on the surface while fighting 5 destroyers and an aircraft carrier :lol:

The U.S.? I will bring beer! See if we can get on a Trident or something.

The US is a bit to far for me. I'll have to cross the atlantic for it. Perhaps 2008 in europe?

Takes only about 7 hrs to cross it :D
