One on my favorite (yet very short lived) comic series was "Medal of Honor" by Dark Horse Comics. It has the true tales of the Heroes that wore it.

This series was scheduled for 5 issues but canceled after 4. What was the biggest shame was that it was issue 5 I really wanted more then any of them. It was to include the story of Dr Mary Walker. The only female to ever receive the Medal of Honor.

For those that don't know. It was taken from her years later but of all people, President Jimmy Carter reinstated her Medal. (long after she past away).
