Question about Realism Settings
 

Just want to clarify 2 options - I know one toggles between auto & manual targeting, but what about the one "no weapons officer assist" (Or something like that). Does checking this option make a difference in auto targeting mode?

"No Weapons Officer Assist" just means he won't give you a (never flawed) firing solution for your torpedoes.

So checking this option on makes no difference if I'm using auto targeting?

It wil make no difference if you are using Autotargeting. It only keeps you from using some of the Weapons Officers Orders options ( Firing solution etc.), which you don't use when Autotargeting anyway.
