1st flotilla/IX series!
 

I'm in the 1st flotilla, with a type IIA and its Sept. 1941 and I want a new sub!

I've been waiting for the IXC but theres not even the IXB :(

My choices are

TYPE:
IIA
IID
VIIB
VIIC

BUT I WANT AN IX SERIES SUB!
WHEN DO THEY COME OUT FOR THE 1ST FLOTILLA?!

if you change flotilla to 2 i think they are available in there not sure if you have to wait for a specific date for em though

Join the 2nd/10th flotillas

Well I didn't want to transfer but from reading it sounds like the 1st never used IX series subs. The 10th hasn't formed yet so I joined the 2nd, and they moved me to lorient! :(

Anyways I got question on an engine upgrade for my new Boat.
Which is better?
MAN Buchigeblase
or
GW Kaspelgeblase

The upgrade is obviously an improved version.....but the original as issued is closer to what was reality :arrgh!:

MAN engines give better top speeds, dunno if different engines affect ranges or whatnot tho.

I hate Lorient...

The food in Lorient is magnifique, the girls are tres belles, the weather is better than in Willi or Kiel. :D

Took her out on her first partrol sunk alot of merchants, warships and down planes. Got up to 32,000 then the game broke itself and stopped counting ships that I sunk.


so I sunk two T2 tankers and a few others, didn't even show up in the captains log.

But yay a deck gun for those smaller vessels!

Just so you'd know, I'm now in my 2nd patrol in a Type IXB (U-109). Thus far I've been an exclusive Type VII user.
Still in transit to my patrol area (BF14), but I've expended about half my torps and deck gun ammo thus far for about 17,000t.
My first patrol achieved almost 30,000t (thanks to 2 10k t merchants) but the "1st-patrol-no-renown-or-tonnage" bug reared its head... :damn::damn::damn::damn:

Don't carry out any upgrades to your boat prior to it's first patrol :arrgh!:

Yup, I know that, & I didn't... :( The bug still struck :(
