GWX+1.2Patch Questions / Problems (Need Help)

Ok first let me apologize if this is placed in the wrong forum but I figured its a little bit of both help and general.

First I installed the GWX and patch on a brand new fresh copy of SH3 and 1.4 patch. I followed the directions that I recieved via a help thread and followed them to the T. Everything seems or seemed to work out fine until I fired up the very first naval accadamy mission.

When in ANY outside view I noticed that the screen will flicker approx every 20 seconds or so. It appears that the screen is redrawing but im not sure. I thought maybe it was just a mission so I went and tried a second and third mission same thing. Internal views do not refresh or jump like I mentioned above.

I did not notice this problem when running GWX without the patch.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is it caused by and what do i do to fix it. It also appears that the trees in the distance also seem to flicker.

Now I think i ruled out to many items running on a screen at a time. The nav mission as very few ships or items to draw but it does this anyway.

My system is not top of the line but deffinitly up to the task of GWX.

Specs
Dell 8300 (Heavily modified)
7800 GS OC AGP 4x/8x Nvidea Graphics card
Audiology Sound blaster
4Ghz DDR Ram
3.0 Ghz Processor
650 Watt 20amp 2x rail PSU
Windows XP SP2

I turned off all virus scans and other apps running at the same time.

I may try and revert back to GWX without the patch and see if the problem goes away of if it stays.

I hope someone can help me out here as I really miss the game / sim.

Thanks again
