A question from a noob.
 

Hello,

I just got back from my patrol to St.Nazaire (November 1940) with my VIIB. When I started a new patrol, my sub had this strange circle rotating on the brigde. I didn't buy any new equipment so I don't know what the hell is it. Anything to do with the anti-sonar equipment?

I feel I'm asking a really noobish question, so please, have patience.

Ok, but I hadn't before. It's true I installed the 1.02 patch before beginning a new patrol. Does it come at a certain date or with the patch? What is special about this antenna?

The antenna comes in 1.02 patch. It wasn't included in the previous version. DF means, direction finding.

Yes it comes with the GWX 1.02 and NYGM 2.4 updates. It's only there for the eyes, some like it, some don't...:D

Nothing special about it. Use of the Radio Direction Finder is automatic and represented abstractly by some of those contact icons that appear periodically on your F5 Nav Map. This behavior is not new to GWX 1.02, only the physical representation of it on your bridge is new. If you don't like the way it looks, as Rykaird has pointed out, there is a mod to remove it. It doesn't get installed at a certain date, it's there all of the time.

Go to the Mods Workshop forum, there is a patch somewhere there...
