The Med is heating up!
 

And I am not talking about the weather! ;)

Third patrol, VIIC U-97, March 1942 out of Salamis. Somewhat upgraded (first radar upgrade and bold installed).

AND, I went for it. Having discovered the ship camera since two weeks :huh: :oops:, I thought, let's do it! No external camera this time, but my newly found ship camera was disabled as well :rotfl:

Met a subdestroyer group of 3 DD's and depthcharged.

Met a BB group!! but I was discovered and depthcharged.

Met another BB group... and was depthcharged. These taskforces are huge!

Grumbling at 170 meters I thought... mmm....

And there they were, two liners, one DD. I got my reward, fired four eels and as I was diving, I hit and sank both liners!!

That is before I got depthcharged again :rotfl:

Can't wait until I get home tonight! :up:

That's why the Med is so challenging to patrol. Lot's of HK groups and aircraft activity. Let's be honest, it's hard to break a GRT record there but it's very rewarding when you think of the effort you put in.

Thats what I ran into in the med today. It's pretty easy if you keep on running into these BB task forces its also a smaller area which means less room for them and you to hide.

Haven't done the GWX Med yet. But plan to do it in next career or maybe sneak in through Gib. I had a good time there in the stock version. :lol:

On top of that wonderful coulours and being on the bridge with a T shirt all year round...:D
