Pilot rescue?
 

Hello

I have seen several screens with some poor flyboy dangling in a parachute drifting down to the sea to become the bottom of the food chain.

I can assume that this program is also based upon renown points.

can these pilots be saved before some critter discovers that he like how they are chewy on the outside,, but crunchy in the middle ? If so will this be a renown point earner?

Could be kind of fun zipping about and saving someone from beneath the guns some shore or sea based scourage of the seas.

See the "Small Video" thread - one of the members is going to post a large video demonstrating a rescue from lifeboats. And, if you can do that, and "lifeguard" missions were a part of the historical mission mix for US subs, and we know that there will be special missions, that must mean...??

Pilot rescue will be part of the game. You will in fact be ordered to save pilots downed near you. Obviously you can also save shipwrecked sailors.

The Dev's said pilot resuce would happen. Sometimes it will be by order of HQ, but if you see a plane in trouble, and the piolt bails out, you can go and pick him up.

Are you sure that you can save shipwrecked sailors? If we can do that there surely must be a maximum amount of people you can rescue due to the lack of space on your sub.

Yes, I've read it and seen the video (allthough you don't see much;) ). I think one of the French members asked the same question as I did: If we can safe survivors how many are we allowed to safe?:hmm:

Maybe it will be possible to Mod survivor pick up?Just have the game thinking
that all people in the water are Americans flyers except they will have
Japanese names and uniforms.
