Q ships. Do they exist?
Been reading Wolfgang Hirschfelds book about his time on U-109 with Bleichrodt and his commanders worries about Q ships. Just wondered if SH3 or GWX ever threw in a few as a surprise

Yes, they do.
And they are all commanded by John DeLancy clones:lol: Actually, I have to confess that I don't know the answer - I just saw the joke and had to post.:p |

Q ships are not included in GWX....but the marksmanship of some of the merchants late war sometimes gives the impression they have been :arrgh!:

For anyone wondering what Q-ships are. A good 20-30 minute read http://www.history.navy.mil/docs/wwi...#anchor1557292

Good book, :yep: i read it time ago
Q-ships was planned by dev team first but it wasn´t completed In vanilla Sh3 some small merchants have a moving container door on the deck but withouth any hidden gun. perhaps mounting a gun it could fire but the container door are always moving...:hmm: |
Most of the late war merchants are dead shots.

...and a good reason for attacking submerged. At least mid '43 to '45.

There was only 4 Q-Ships according to that article and all were highly unsuccesful 1 sank the other 3 didn't sink a uboat but 1 has claimed to after depthcharging which brought oil stains up to the surface which dissappeared so im not so sure if the sub coulda just got away.
