the Bismarck
hey guys for those of you that live in the UK i saw on an advert on tv last night that you can start collecting parts to build the model Bismarck from what i saw its huge i guess about 3-4ft long. im gonna start collecting the issues and of course it comes with a magazine telling you all about it too. anyone else gonna do it?
|
Is this the one that costs about GBP1.95 for the first issue then about 5 quid for the rest of them, collect 1250 issues to finish getting the parts for the model?:rotfl:
|
ummm no the first part costs 50p then a fiver afterwards think there is 500 parts
|
Sorry, couldn't help taking the mick. I've started a few of these collections and never finished one usually because I can't buy the magazines anywhere after about issue 5.
Good luck with it if you can stick it out. BTW I think GBP2500 is a lot of money for a model no matter how big it is. |
yeah i tried that spitfire one..you remember the remote control one??
mind you when you put it like that (£2500) i might give it a miss :rotfl: |
Yeh I was the same with the spitfire. got to issued 5 and lost interest.
|
i think i got to about 20 and then when i was ordering the issues parts were missing from them so just became more of a pain than it was worth
|
I've already built the Bismarck:up: waterline series, Had it on backorder for 7 months but it was worth it. this was 15 years ago. I still have the Bismarck but the rest that i built got trashed over the years.:nope:

It would be cheaper to purchase the Plastic model version of the Bismark.

I was going to start a thread about this...because I was thinking about it too. But yes...if you add it up it's absurd. You have to collect every issue for nearly 3 years...miss one and that's it. And it'll cost you a fortune. Anyone else notice it's not really a reputable company doing this...if I'm not mistaken? By reputable I mean DeAgostini and others who do these weekly things.
Sounds like a rip-off... |
