Probably dumb question about GWX
 

I'm trying to load GWX but an error message says i don't not have a valid v1.4b installation. I've looked for a 1.4 patch but can't seem to find it? I also have jsgme downloaded but an not running it yet. Don't know if that can be a problem? I've never run any mods that i can remember. I'm on my third career. Any help would be appreciated. I did a search but found nothing i could use. I did try to repair rather the uninstall and reinstall.

For the patch: Find out what version of the game you have (DVD or Download), and select patch from here: http://www.silenthunteriii.com/uk/updates.php

The JSGME is not the problem, mate..

Figures, no sooner had a made the post i found it, LOL. Loading it now ane well see what happens, thanks for the link.

Don't forget to use the correct patch depending on where you bought the game (europe or America) and the type of installation you have (DVD or download)

Got past that, but now it's saying "please insert disk 1 and click ok" What disk? The SH3 disk? Mind you this is coming after i try and run the file i downloaded from http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/GWX/ I assume you have to do each one individual? Save and run it?

Place all GWX files in one folder
Then the installer can find them

Would it be easier to go through gameshadow and just load one time? Couldn't figure what was up with the French site? And the torret link didn't help much either, LOL.

Nice, got her all loaded. Wow. What a difference. I haven't read every thing so that must mean i have yet another question. The mission i'm on now says to go to O, afrika, nothing that ive seen before. Where would i find that, LOL.

Enjoy your Type IX (assuming you have one from your patrol grid) and the exotic locales you would have never seen in SH3 stock! :arrgh!:

If you are going to play in areas like the Far East or the Black Sea, that don't exist in the original SH3 make sure you read the relevant information. That is the manual and the Flotilla News I and II under the F1 screen during game.
