For Those Who Want Virtual 3D Sub Interiors

I know many are disappointed that many sub compartments won't be modeled in SH4, so I thought the following links might partially make up for it. These are links to Quicktime virtual tours of two boats currently on display here in the US, the USS Pampanito in San Francisco, and the USS Cod in Cleveland. The Quicktime files are fairly small but have a good level of detail, and certainly give you a good feel for the different compartments.

USS Cod: http://www.usscod.org/spin.html

By the way, does anyone know of Quicktime VR files for any other submarines? If you do, please post them here.

Thanks for the links fellas.

Here's a link to a video tour of USS Cod (SS-224), a Gato class sub.

Great Thread!

For those of you living/visiting New England this summer:

April 1945
The U-853 was the last German submarine that sank in American waters, and it happened in 1945 just off the coast of Block Island, where it still rests. The U-853 sank two known American ships; The USS Eagle 56 and the USS Black Point.

Newport RI
Her propellers have been on the Inn at Castle Hill property since 1953 and are on display.

No ship recognition?

I guess if you're gonna shoot this way, you'd better be sure it's an enemy ship...
