Atypical IXD2 Reloading Problem
All,
I have read threads related to the external reloads and associated bugs with the IXD2 submarines. However, I have a different problem. On my last two patrols, mid-patrol, tube 2 would no longer load. The sim. continues to run fine with the obvious exception that I cannot use tube 2! Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone have a fix? I'm still using TGW1.1. I'm on patrol 29 in my career, and I have not had this problem with any other submarine types. Thanks in advance for any advice or help. Sincerely, Paul P.S. As an aside (since I'm finally posting something rather than just lurking, I figure I might as well make the most of it), on the first partol where this problem occurred, I did manage to sink around 130,000 by visiting the Caribbean and only sinking tankers. I also bumped into a small task force with an aircraft carrier, so that helped the tonnage while hurting my boat. I eventually limped back across the Atlantic with hull integrity of 4.97% (equating to a crush depth of just below periscope depth). :-) |
Welcome aboard Paul.
That is quite a tonnage score you've got there mate, and quite a patrol:up: Keep up the good work! |
Make sure the cook isn't storing rations in the Tube. Check his nametag to make sure it doesn't read "Bernard". If so, remove obstruction from tube, load Bernard, aim at a C3 and..."LOS"!!!!

Trying to get a serious answer one last time. Please!
|
Is there a chance you've been attacked and damaged? If so your torpedo tube might be destroyed. Is this the case?
|
If you aren't silent running then maybe the tube itself is damaged and can't be reloaded.
|
Nope, no damage. No silent running issues. Tube 2 is loaded when I leave port, fires once, and won't reload. Just to be clear, I cannot even move a torpedo from the internal storage slots to the tube 2 slot. Strange . . .

Hm....you're right. So far it sounds like a bug.... :(
|
Are you using SH3 Commander? If you are and checked the "malfunction + sabotage" that might explain it....
