Career start with XXI
 

Just curious, when I go to start a new career (gwx or course) even choosing a start date of 1945 and at the flotillas that offered the XXI, it is not my default choice. I have to choose a type 7 and renown my way up to the XXI. Personaly I think this is ridiculous especially if you START in 45. No way you can rack up enough renown for an XXI.

Am I just ignorant here or is there another way to be assigned a type 21 in career mode?

The easiest and IMO simplest way is to start the game with SH3Cmdr and select your U-boat type :up:

Using SH3Cmdr 2.7 you should be able to get the XXI at the 11th Flottila in JULY 1944 with the Correct availability dates for U-boats switched on. I'm not sure when the XXI becomes available with this option off.

IIRC it's either April 1st or June 45 :rotfl: :arrgh!:

Using SHCommander I did this in 44' coming out of Bergen:up:

Yeah basicaly I was setting a "dumbass" record on this one guys.
