Gwx Haters

Ok, how bout this one. I play GWX SH3 multiplay as much as I can. But when I ask People if they have GWX installed they of course say no and proceed to call me names. For the life of me why dont more people have GWX installed? I also have a hard time finding people that do have GWX even playing multiplayer. I hosted numerous games this weekend and only a few guys had GWX, while numerous people continued to ask what GWX was. Is it not know very well yet that GWX is out there? Id have to imagin that if they knew it was out there they would get it.

I think GWX is for the crowd that like some realism within the game. Some just can't get it as dial-up is not fast enough. Some are on just to taunt people like yourself. Don't let it get to you because this means they win the stupid little battle. You will find the same stuff on other servers for other games that support multiplayer. Usually I do not see many playing on line as it is. Hang out and eventually a player with GWX will come around:up:

GWX Rocks:up:

As far as multiplayer check out this thread http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=104578. Mr Chris, Danlisa, Jimbuna, Seth and others do play MP quite often, so if you want to join up just pop over to TS and say hi;) :D

Stick to the GWX. It gives a whole new dimension to the SH3.

Every fanclub has its diehards that refuse to change their views. In this case i think your probably looking at diehard NYGM fans who out of total ignorance and bias, refuse to even look at anything GWX. Likewise there's some GW diehards who reuse to look at anything NYGM. Personnaly, id just dismiss it as ignorance and move on. If they want to look at the game through a set of horseblinders with a very limited and narrow view, thats their perogative - and their loss.

Very true Ducimus:yep:

Retzer, You are most welcome to join us when we play GWX online. I can tell you know that you will not get abused by any of us. I find it very sad indeed that someone who has taken the time to put up a server and host a game get slagged of for his choice of mod he is using. Im my opinon these people need a good smack in the face with a metal shovel.:yep::yep::yep: Maybe this might knock some sence into them.
At this moment i and several others are testing the latest GWX patch so will not be playing online at present. But as soon as the patch is out we will be back online playing. Though i have noticed that Stabiz has been playing GWX online quite a bit of late he is a stand up guy so if you see him hosting a game in the thread that Mel pointed too. Try and join him for a game im sure he will make you most welcome.

AVG is correct. I mean when ever you have a good game with mods & mods & mods available eventually you wind up with groups of users/player who like the game a certian way, their way, and that's that.

Several of the 'supermods' even seem at odds with each other. One makes your boat sink, the other rise etc.

Myself I like to add what changes I want, not so much what or how any mod or player wants to change for me. I have been through the readme's and manuals of all mods I consider, twice.

I would think it's a sad day for any group of players to form a love/hate for any mod or set of players & how they have made their choice as to how they like the game.

What I do find annoying is when certian questions are posted and you always have one or two that must chime in with mention of a particular mod as some cure all. As good as any mod may be if this makes them feel they are a better player then I, I have a long peir at the end of Kiel they can go for a jog on.

@Retzer

Your always welcome over on TS kaleun :yep: We're not such a bad bunch :nope: ...a little crazy at times  ...but what the heck :rotfl:
As Chris has pointed out, a few of us are beta testing the GWX update right now but are still 'contactable' on TS and will definitely be back amongst MP pretty soon  :arrgh!:

How can anyone hate GWX :o I am in shock!!!!!

GWX has been a boost to SH3 and it's great.

mookiemookie 02-19-07 02:56 PM

Maybe they're arcade shoot 'em up kiddies who don't understand the fine wine that is realism. :know:

Jimbuna 02-19-07 03:00 PM

The answer is prob just like Ducimus says in #5 :yep:

I think its mostly people who dont know what it is, remember many buy games without ever joining any forum looking for mods. (I notice alot are playing version 1.0 too:o Why in the name of ...?)

We are a small part of the SH3-owners, but I`ll bet my rear tube that there is a growing number of GWX users.

Anyway, I have seen GWX servers almost every time I have been online lately, so there is hope. (I wont join you guys online for a few weeks, my new broadband is coming, the leeching of some neighbour has been stopped by a password.:rotfl:)

IceGrog 02-19-07 03:07 PM

all the guys i talk to have.......... but then i only talk myself, or maybe i'm the only one who listens to myself............... a little bit too much,,,bad day at the office
to me GWX is worth all the download problems that i ran into:up:

great signature Kpt. Kozloff, one of these days i'll get one:oops:

Is GWX the same as grey wolves 1.1a? Can someone post a link to the main grey wolves web site?

I've been playing GW 1.1a for a long time, love the mod! Would have tried NYGM but I couldnt get it to work right :( Grey wolves installer is pretty simple and user friendly.
