will this work? gwx to sh3

all right hear me out. I installed silent hunter 3 patched it to 1.4b, installed gwx, installed dec 23 fix, activated some mods via jsgme. Ran game once. No problems. Installed sh3commander ,installed gwx sh3com mod files. Just wondering if it was ok to install sh3 commander with active mods in gwx. Another question, I know you are not suppose to change mods at sea., but can you change some things in commander while at sea? Thanks to everybody for making a good game better.

ps just bought das boo uncut 5 hour version, it was good, i had the directors cut before

and I like to put the das boot sound track in my gramophone , all the songs

Ideally, SH3Commander should be installed before any mods are added/enabled. If you are using JSGME just disable them and install SH3Cmdr. I don't know what will happen if Cmdr is installed with active mods. Do so at your own risk.

Changing options in SH3Cmdr while at sea is a big no no. Always make changes while in port and with SH3Cmdr rolled back.

There are certain mods which can be enabled at sea, things like texture files & sounds. However, again, do so at your own risk.

To be safe all mods/SH3Cmdr changes should be made while in port before your next patrol.

You don't want to be back here trying to fix something which broke due to the changes, do you?;)

You can install SH3Cmdr at any time - remember, SH3Cmdr is installed outside of SH3 and the two don't talk to each other *until* the "Launch SH3!" button is pressed in SH3Cmdr.

SH3Cmdr doesn't care about what mods are installed when it runs. Just ALWAYS remember to rollback SH3Cmdr BEFORE making ANY changes to SH3 files.

SH3Cmdr also doesn't care about when you change it's settings - any changes you make to SH3Cmdr files won't be enacted until the next time you press the "Launch SH3!" button.

But as danlisa states, mod while at sea at your own risk.
