help gwx install
 

ok i just downloaded it from game shadow and when i go through the setup i get a message that says " c/ programs/ubisoft/silenthunter3" is not a valid 1.4b installation please select an installation of silent hunter 3 which is patched to 1.4b and is unmodified can anyone help?

Is your SH3 patched up to 1.4?
Have you deleted the SH3 folder in the C\My Documents?

Make sure you get the correct patch. There are different kinds of 1.4b's.

no i have the stock version, and i just downloaded sh3 commander and that worked fine

Get the right one.

US - d/l or DVD
Europe - d/l or DVD

should i uninstall everything and start over?

Probably the best course of action.:yep: You could wait for Jscones to pop in and tell you what those codes mean but the end result will still be the same.

how do i make sure everything is uninstalled. i took out the game sh3 commander and gwx but how do i delete the patches?

If you uninstall SH3 the patches go with it as well. Just make sure you delete the SH3 folder in C\My Documents. After that just re-install the game and patch it up.

Now you re-install SH3 and patch it up. After that you can add GWX

"Test 3 = FAILED - 1.0.0.1" means you tried to install over an UNPATCHED copy of SH3.
