Old vs New, which was better?
 

Pro Wrestling. Before you start, yes I know its rigged, but were the old storylines and angles better than the new?

The days of Ric Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes, the days of Hulk Hogan vs Sgt. Slaughter are days I enjoy revisiting sometimes, with the wonder of YouTube. I've noticed that the angles now are rehashes of days gone by. Those of you who used to watch wrestling (and any of you who still do), what do you think? Is it too artificial now? Is it impossible to really get in to a storyline?

Who'd ever thought that a cartoon would've been created from that great group of performers?

Hulk Hogan is the only one I remember; maybe because he was a sort of giant, maybe by Rocky III too.

In a general way, wrestling seems me more theater than sport.

Fun fact: Macho Man attempted to launch a rap music career in 2003 with an album titled Be a Man. The titular track demanded Hulk Hogan to be a "man" ("Be a man, Hulk!").

What was up with he and Vince McMahon falling out?

I went to a pro wrestling match when i was a kid. This mustve been around '71-72. Some dude named Chief Jay Strongbow gave me a noogie as he walked by.

I was more into the Roller Derby back then though.

I saw the thread title and thread author and worried about the fate of that nice red-haired girl.
