Silent Hunter II
 

Hi, :D

Although my questions are not about SH2-Pacific Aces, I think its the best site to ask.

I purshused Silent Hunter II about three weeks ago, and its a great game. I Love sub sims since I came across Aces Of The Deep years ago. But sadly it just never worked right with windows, it just kept crashing the most interesting instants of a game. So, after finding SH2, I am just to happy.

However, I have a serious problem with aiming torpedos. I just keep missing. I wish to ask if you know if there is a toutorial about aiming and firing anywhere on the web. the manual that came with the game is really useless.

Well, SH2 has the fabled 'red triangle' installed on the periscope, which allows you to lock on to targets. Just hit 'L' when you have a ship in your sights and the weapons officer will calculate a solution for you.

Well this thread should be in the "classics" forum, and it probably will get more attention there, so I'm moving it there. As for manual torpedoes aiming....there was a tutorial long ago at Drebbel's sitw, and also Redwine had a fantastic one in his web.
