Hi Emtmedic

No mod necessary....German speech already included in game.

Just go to options screen in main game menu
Select voices language...arrow to the right for German
Click "Apply Changes" button

then you're ready to go.

I have to admit, German is pretty cool for like... i dunno.. anywhere from 10 mins to 1 patrol. After that it just gets on my nerves. I've tried again and again to play it in german and like it, each effort a failure. Except for surfacing and depth charges in the water, and silent running, it takes an F'ing paragraph worth of language for the most simplist of orders.

That and the formality gets old too. "Javel herr keuloin" after every stinking command. I mean, cripes, just shut up and execute the damn order already! It's no coincidence that i have "Yes sir" muted for the CE in my own mod compllation.

Part of my DBSM conversion was removing all the "Yes sirs". I really hate hearing it, especially just before he says "ALAAAAAAARRRRRMMM!!!"

Follow the DLC link to 'Audio Mods'. Download 'Sailor Steve(1.4ready).rar. You'll get a whole lot of Das Boot sounds and no 'Yes, sirs'.

To edit the ogg files, all u need is this little free proggie.

saves it back to Ogg file format too:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Now get rid of the unwanted commands
