Diesel Boats Forever
A submariner’s song:
"We go to sea on diesel boats they call us bubbleheads. Our blood is laced with diesel smoke we’re sailors to the end. Our diesels wind thru the salty brine until we take her deep. Then we turn her loose on battery juice and we all go to sleep. Diesel boats forever here the diving claxon sound. Diesel boats forever take her deep take her down. Diesel boats forever take her deep take her down." :ping: :ping: :ping: :ping: :ping: :ping: http://www.bergall.org/temp/dbf4.wav |

"Make her dive" "Make her dive" "Make her dive beneath the ocean" "Make her dive, make her dive, make her dive" "Make her be true to her crew" "Make her dive" Forgot the tune, but yeah we use to play that one every watch change ... honest injun, no lie ... |
Ok Geetrue
Here's the one we sang when diving Take her down Take her deep F**k the pressure Make it 15 feet............. |
I only remember the PT Boat song:
"Oh, some PTs do seventy-five, and some do sixty-nine; If we get ours to run at all we think we're doing fine!" |
I don't remember that one sunvalleyslim, but our boat did run aground one time off of Coronado
while we were having abandon ship drills ... someone forgot to tell the helmsman and he came topside too ... The COB's back was to the beach telling us what to do and wham we ran aground ... :rotfl: We all went back to our stations and gently backed her up out of the sand with no damage we could see, but don't get me started on sea stories. Here's a way to tell if your a submarine sailor ... I was going to start another thread, but I like this one ... It has a good title ... Enjoy :p You Might Be A Submariner If...... Geetrue,
Most fantastic my friend, You have brought back memories long submerged. you made me sit and think of years gone bye. So I sat with my Jack Daniels and relived old times. Here's a few.....
