21-inch Mark-10 (for the s-class)
MK XIV steam torpedo (other class)
training torpedo (gess that thayll be for all subs)
Mark-18 (electric torpedo)
Mark-27 "Cutie" homing torpedo (bad copy of the german ones)

Thanks for that list - I wonder if we will get the TNT and Torpex flavors of the Mark XIV and Mark XVIII as well.

well the list that i posted was just a gess, but as for the explosive filer used i carnt see why not. could be there that thay put an early/late version in of that its hard coded to change after a set data.

Question - on the warhead power. The warhead wad 600 lbs of explosive if I recall. I wasn't aware of the TNT being used and wondered how much more punch Torpex has over TNT.

Then the question - what did German topedo warheads pack. I know it was a greater weight (not sure how much more) but was it TNT or some other explosive.

According to this site - A LOT!

The most important, but often overlooked, warhead development was the conversion from TNT to Torpex with the attendant increase in underwater damage by over 50% for a fixed weight of high explosive.

I'm guessing it's a good guess. :smug:

Mark-18

Anyone seen the mark-18 in the game?

AirborneTD 05-02-07 06:01 AM

I also have the Mark 23 in my game. It is colored red on the torp load screen and says it is a Mk XIV without the slower setting.

I believe I saw the MK 18 when playing a later patrol. Haven't recently, though.
