questions on using crew
Hi all,
I am running sh3 with NYGM TW 2.2 and have some issues. I dont get a direction that the contact is going unless i mark it then wait till some time has passed then mark again to see which way it is travelling, hard when you bump into a convoy 20+ k away. I get ship spotted bearing and speed but not direction of travel, like heading sw or 170. is this an option i have missed or does it not work like that. Also I find that I am doing a lot of the jobs myself and want to know how I get the crew to do more. When I ask the weapons officer to plot target i get either no target even though one is 1000m away or it takes me to the TDC map screen and thats it. Am i missing something? The map only shows a circle for say a lone tanker, even if i lock it in the UZO or perisope it doesnt show on the map as an icon of a ship just the circle. I am not sure as well as to how to use the TDC map screen i tend to saty in the F5 map screen any help here?. thanks |
Bump:up:
Edit: Maybe in the title of thread you should have made ref. to NYGM and crew problems. |
Not having played NYGM for any real length of time (it kept making SH3 crash :nope: ), I can only offer a few suggestions.
It sounds like your realism settings are all turned on. The map problem you're having sounds to me like you have the "no God's eye view" option turned on, and the weapons officer problem sounds like you have "No Weapon Officer assistance" turned on. Adjust your realism settings and you should be able to fix this. |
Thanks mookie will try this tonight and let you know tomorrow.

It is in NYGM like in the stock game or other mods, you are free to define your reality settings before leaving on patrol. (although it has been designed to be played at high realism settings)
There is iirc a "restore god's eye view" in the optional folder from the download. |
mookie the ticks where not in the boxes for no show gods view and no help from wep.
Corsair -i will look for the restore option tonight thanx. |
