Angle of F12 camera view - modifyable?

A user on Polish Ubootwaffe Forums complained about too narrow angle of F12 camera view. He'd like it to be more wide, as

I tried to find any info on these Forums on the issue, but failed to find anything uselfull. Is there any way to make the camera view wider?
