Hi Chris, CO sector south of Creete and between Tobruk and Alexandria. There are some convoys there and also some TF, one with King George, two Nelson class BB and some Cruisers. Not so many enemy planes early on:up:

One thing i like about the med.

It's kinda like the carribean, only smaller. You have chockpoints, and traffic going to and from places like alexandria. Sort of a hint ;)

If you can make it, a nice convoy route passed from Alexandria--Gilbralter--Liverpool right past Malta. You can get anything from singles to convoys but watch out for the airplanes.

Thanks guys im going to give patroling the gap from Crete to mainland Africa ago. Sunk a DD and a small merchant on my way to my patrol grid CN 61 but have not found bugger all after that.

Try that narrow gap between Sicily & Tunis, always good targets passin' through there!
Edit: Dang, too late...

Was just going to say the same as Seth:D A lot more air power there though:arrgh!:

Be ready to either keep crash-diving or to stay submerged for extended periods as once the air-traffic picks up, you'll be swatting at them constantly.
Good Luck and pray that your Watchmen are rested and alert otherwise :dead::dead::dead:.

The approaches to and from Alexandria or just south of Malta have always been my favourites

The channel between south of Sicily and Lampedusa, around Malta and along the coast between Tobruk and Alexandria are places where I found targets at that time. A few singles, many 2 to 3 merchants with 1 escort, once in a while 2 unescorted armed merchants.
Just had a nice task force with 2 escorted CLs crossing my way on a perfect path for shooting, unfortunately were italians sailing home.

The whole area between Tobruk and Alexandrea is a huge hunting ground. Just patrol these areas and you'll run out of torpedoes really soon;)

Hell no... It's because they got into trouble in North Africa and Greece that Germany had to get involved there. So in a way, I am thankful to them for being on patrol in nice warm waters under the sun rather than freezing in lousy weather in some god forgotten place somewhere in the north Atlantic..;)

Just survived a hellish W@W patrol there.

The corridor between La Palmas and Algeria is a hot spot!:shifty:
