My old power suply blew out but its an antec 550wat 2.0.

Also i have a pci-e graphics card. Well see what you can make of it.

550W, good amperage on the 12V rail (even supports SLI).
Its modular so you just use the cables you need.
Note the rebate that puts it right in your price range.
Looks like it has a 5 year warranty.

Only thing you might not like is it has a green LED that might not go well if your case has all that blue light in it already.

Woudl this sopport a single 7900gtx? and are you positive this is compatible with it all. second what is pcf?

Yup, either power supply here should easily work with a GeForce 7900GTX. Those cards typically require a 400W power supply, with a sustained 26A at 12V (BFG 7900GTX OC).
The Mushkin has 2x 12V rails rated at 20A each, and can automatically combine them for a total of 40A.

PFC in a power supply is Power Factor Correction. An explanation into this gets a bit complicated, but basically a power supply with PFC is more efficient than a power supply without, especially at lower power draws. Depending how your power company charges you this can save you money. PFC comes in either Active or Passive...nearly all power supplies have at least passive, but active is better, and costs you more.

As for compatibility, your case seems to be plenty large enough to physically accomodate the power supply. Your motherboard uses the new 24pin ATX standard, which this power supply has, it has SATA connectors, PCI-E connectors for the video card(s), the 4-pin CPU power connector, and all the other standard connectors found in pretty much any computer, so it's pretty safe to say its compatible.

edit: I didnt notice which PFC the Mushkin power supply has, active or passive.

So it wouldbe compatible with an amd 3700 64bit 2.2ghz 939.

Sorry but i have to spend my money carefully. Hopefully this should last longer than Antec.

I don't know which ps your going to use. Mine is pricey $120.00 us as of
12-05. It's especially nice if you have a gammer case with a side window.
I'm holding the owners manual right now so I can give you all the specs
and special features. One the minor features but I think one off the best
is no wire clutter. You use only what you need. It is quiet and I haven't had a bit of trouble. Google it and read all the info the price may have even come down. ULTRA X connect 2 Good luck. :up:

Have you tried just warranting your blown power supply with Antec? Most of their stuff comes with a 3 year warranty and it may not hurt to check it out. I've had good success in dealing with their support.

Other than that, either the Mushkin or the Ultra power supply will work with your system. Both are good quality units, with proven track records. From what you've shown us of your system, either one will have all the proper connectors for your motherboard, drives, and video card. Both are modular units which can help eliminate cable clutter. Both are quiet units. The Ultra one is a very nice looking unit, but also seems to be more expensive. The Mushkin is right in your pricerange, esp if you get the rebate. If possible, try to buy from a place that will accept returns (I've never dealt with Newegg since we don't have those in Canada, but they probly have a good return policy and a lot of people seem to buy from there).

How fast does an RMA take? they told me to send in my old powersuply. so i sent it. do you think it will be a month? i dont think i couldstand being out of commission that long. Also thanks for showing me the other powersuplies.

You know, I honestly cant remember how long it took them...but with mine there was the border crossing that can make it take longer than normal. The standard practice is once they receive the power supply you sent them, then they send you a different one back, so most of the time is spent in shipping. I've not done a warranty with them now for a couple of years, so I cant honestly say how long it will take them. They may assign you a ticket or case number that you can track the status with. I do remember that my experience with Antec was very positive tho.
