Buy Silent Hunter 4
just a quick message to ask everyone to buy this game and get your mates to buy the game too as oppose to getting the game illegally or copied. I know 99% of you would buy the game anyway but the more money made from this game and the more successful it is, the better we get in the future!
If your gonna buy any game then support all future sub sims by buying this one! |
I have every intention of buying the game and not getting a copy illegally.
|
i certainly wont get this game illegal but until i get some sort of aknowledgement from ubi that they are aware that british subs were in ww2 iant gonna buy sh4 either.
|
I'm sure they know the brits had subs too:doh:
But Ubi understandably has to make games that sell... |
im british and i dont feel short changed that there are no British subs! the campaign by British subs was considerably smaller than the German U-boat campaign or the US campaign in the pacific. I just feel glad we are getting quality sub sims. could be worse! we might have bugger all or be in the same dire straights as the flight sim genre!
|
I don't buy many games, but I'm sure I'll buy this one.
|
Silent Hunter 3 was a great success for the genre and brought in fresh blood...im sure this contributed to the production of its successor. 5 will be even better

Does raiding a game store in a balaclava count as illegal?
|
@ DanCanovas: Already preordered it mate :D
Though I must addmit my copy of SH3 was pre-owned. So i didnt contribute to its sales figures. |
I hope the sales of this game goes well because:-
Q: TheRealPotoroo: Will there be an updated Destroyer Command that it will be compatible with? A: It's certainly a possibility that we are considering. But in any case, it won't be an updated version of Destroyer Command, but rather a completely new game with similar design and technology improvements as SH3 was over 2. I WANT A DESTROYER COMMAND GAME next so save some money now and buy it in March :yep: |
I will test it myself by a rental from my local video/game store before a purchase because I do not trust Ubisoft and its marketing concept and game support for European customers since a longer period.

I will for sure buy this game(legal) but I'll NOT buy it when it reach the shelf. First about ½ to a year after. Why? I don't know how things works in your countries, but here a game cost about 25 to 30 % more than it should. A friend of mine, who has/had a computer store said once -There will always be jerks. Produce a lowprice game. make a commercial with some famouse person e.g britney and I promise you that there will be people sleeping in tents infront of the store. Instead of taking 10 $ for this game as it's should cost you can take an overprice...let say 50 dollars. I'm not saying that piracy is ok, but I wish that some people would calm down a little and not rushing to the store a soon a game come out. Markus |
Just remember the amount of sales effect what kind of limits UBI puts on the developer.
So consequently the dev team only got a year to develop. The financial success dictates the amount of resources and time. So don't complain if you don't buy. |

I will also not buy it on the release day, but likewise rent it a few days from a gamestore to test it over to see whether it fulfills my expectation. Ubisoft disappointed me the last few months so much with incomplete and not playable games and a hotline support which cannot help.
