No binocs anti-mod

Hey guys,

A reader sent me this, any ideas on what the problem is?

Hi Neal,
I sent this pic to show you my problem with no binoculars on my crew. This is in no way a GWX problem. Even with a unmodded version of SH3, I have never had binoculars on my crew. And with an mod applied it's the same. I have the orginal SH3 disc not a download. Somehow it's not there.

I'm no expert, but this is normal. Or that your crew has their arm extended like they're having excercise. It usually happens when you jump from high TC to 1X or 0X. But like I said, I may be completely wrong.

It could be that during the initial SH3 installation process, something didn't take.

I know it seems drastic... but try completely uninstalling SH3 and then reinstalling it.. then apply the 1.4b Ubisoft patch... and then GWX.

Let us know if the problem persists.

if is the 1.4 Perhaps is a glitch or a bad savegame.

i donīt think about a low supply of binoculars in the kriegsmarine :rotfl:

perhaps it is a low graphics setting, since they have never shown up i the game?

Can also be that it's a corrupted Binoc. Tga. file, or that it's missing...:hmm:

I think that's a problem with the graphics card :shifty:

Albrecht Von Hesse 01-27-07 04:07 PM

Back when I was running a graphics card that didn't have pixel shading my watch crew never had binocs. Once I replaced the card with one of the supported ones they had binocs.

Considering they said "Even with a unmodded version of SH3, I have never had binoculars on my crew. And with an mod applied it's the same." I would place my bet on it being the graphic card. Have they re-run the inspector to see if their system meets the minimum requirements?

Looks like someone else has got this. :hmm:
