(GWX) Watch crew won't shut the f*** up!

This is starting to drive me crazy. I have been running GWX for awhile now and have not had this problem until now. I do not know if this is a GWX problem or not. I am shadowing a convoy and there are a couple escorts and merchants barely in range. This is all fine and dandy but my watch crew will not stop saying "ship spotted" (but in german). They are saying this over and over and over every 5 to 10 seconds. It is driving me crazy. I can't time compress cause everytime they say something it stops. I am just stuck. I tried reloading, and nothing seems to get these guys to shut the hell up.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Beleive me i know your pain.

I think it could be a side effect of the wave adjustments made in the sim.CFG file. If that is the case, unfortuantly one can't just lower them without skewing up a slew of other things.

I take as many men off the bridge as I'm allowed in - game and find that cuts down on the number of sighting reports a little :yep:

This is especially annoying in home ports.

You answered your own question.

"I am shadowing a convoy and there are a couple escorts and merchants barely in range."

The convoy is in the edge of your crew´s sensors. So, when they go over the visual range, your crew forgots them. When they come to range again, your watch sees the ship and reports it. ;)

In home ports send your WO downstairs and man the bridge yourself...;)

You can man the deck gun if seas allow it. But make sure to give order to cease fire or they may start kabooming and causing bigger problems :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOL...

Funny thread title.

Yeah, those guys are great...they all point like they are watching fireworks. Anyway, the answer is above in this thread. As you move in and out of visual range the watch is believing it is a new contact so call it out.

Duct tape will shut them up;)

I dunno. I tend to run at lower TC anytime I'm near a convoy so this doesn't bother me as much.

And if you knew you were about to be shut up in a sardine can and at Silent Running for extended periods of time...... you'd be mouthy too when you had the chance. ;) LOL

As has already been said when you are tired of the yakin just move the Watch Officer to his bunk and you will not hear anymore talk, just text and that should not bother you unless your other watch are hollering their heads off "Silently" that a DD is on your case.

"OR" God forbid maybe this will happen :damn: :rotfl:
