Duh.

An unfortunate double standard that exists in this country, for sure.....

Having said that, she was 29, he was 17. The male teacher was 43 and his victim 16.

Let me be clear, they both deserve the fullest penalty for breaking the same law, its cut and dry, no question in my mind. But it is interesting to note that in the principals wife's case, the victim was within 12 months of being of the age of consent. However, there is a law called "sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust" that there is pretty much no defense for....

The guy will still receive more punishment.
