Mediterranean Campaigns
 

Has anyone (yes stupid question alert :D) played a Med Campaign? Are they interesting or boring as you are always being hunted from start to finish.

The Med has always seemed kind of romantic...:hmm:

Only for 2 patrols u should try the Med beautiful blue water mostly.

I am operating out of Salamis at the moment and I can tell you the good thing it's a lot warmer than the north Atlantic in January...:D

Med is wonderful, sunny and realy hot. It's also shallow in loads of places and full of British DDs and planes. Tricky place to operate especially if you have (like me) a IXC:cry: :cry:

Me too, currently in oct 1941 in the Med, slowly heading my way to Gibraltar, need the choke point to get a lot of ships.
Then, its transfer to the atlantic.. more fun, need bad weather, to be safer.

i tried the med in stock sh3 bloody hard then too hate to think what its like with gwx. it just aint deep enough lol

On my (GWX) second patrol in the Med. My first mission I sunk an Italian merchant, too bad they were still friends, as I came back into port I got a radio message telling me now it was ok to sink Italians. (First time for a negative renown)
My second mission I took down a large merchant and the DD that tried to come to his aid. Man! I thought this was going to be easy, but now I have to keep crash-diving because the planes keep finding me. But I love the blue water.

Sounds interesting, I like the Atlantic, but will have to give this a go. The water sounds interesting.

If you find it boring to have two hunters on your trail being joined by two more from another TF going the other way, then yes it´s boring:D I´m on my 5´th patrol from Salamis, Feb -42, and have a feeling I won´t survive so very much longer, but I am getting better at giving the enemy the slip:arrgh!:

From Germany -> Gibraltar-> to La Spezia.
And then there with the 29th Flottille.
