I'm surprised this story hasn't been discussed: Apache rescue mission in Afghanistan

This really was quite an incredible story from the other day. Did it not make news outside of the UK? Quote:

Havent heard about it down here mate - we never hear anything about afghanistan these days..
what a remarkable read! |
What they did took big brass ones. I hope these guys are properly recognized.

I doubt that very much Brad. Unless they play the piano, read the ITN news or being an actor they will not be rewarded. |
Leave no man behind.
|
That must have been one helluva ride - strapped to an Apache!
|
Wow.....
If I meet those guys I'll get them some beers for a job well done, and for their integrity.:yep: |
Echo all of the above. Anyone who comes up with something THAT crazy in a war setting needs a medal  (and a reminder not to try anything like that in civilian life ;) )

I sent the link to NBC. Have to see if it makes it.

It's the future of air transport. Next they'll be strapping commuters to the wings of 737s.
But yes, that's one Heck of a daring thing to do. They have my respects. |
Good on ya', gents!
|
"Task Force: Red Dog" did the same for a few CIA operatives ('Officially' they were not CIA:roll:) on the Afghan-Pakistan border a few years ago. Brave bunch of guys.
