Creating stationary ship in dock

Hi all, kinda new to this, but looking for a way to put a ship stationary inside for example a naval yard until I trigger the leaving event of it. Whatever I try it keeps bumping into the dock itself, ending up destroyed.

Anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Most likely the problem is that the ship is drifting into the dock. The solution is to:
A) create a wind region around the ship with speed zero, and
B) create a current region around the ship with speed zero

Bill beat me to it.

Also, this isnt to do with your specific problem, but check the depth of the area you want to put the boat! some regions in the game are too shallow for a big draft sub.....Most ships are fine.

Is there any way to prevent the ship from moving when it gets shot at? (As in, the ship is not ready to get underway)

If there is, I havent found it. With the exception of ships not equipped to know when shot at...(Cargo, etc.)
