reloaded at base and found sub on top of buildings??
 

I docked at a base nera to the kiel canal and then loaded my game back later and found my sub to be on top of buildings being damaged until it died?????

This occurred after i had sat alongside what appeared to be a tanker in the kiel canal i saved my game ok by choosing the docking at a harbour, i was on the surface dead stop and then when reloaded the above happened ??

Any thoughts why please, i have GWX and the update patch only and obviously V1.4

Did you remember to apply the handbrake prior to ESC ? :rotfl:

This is a Stock game Bug!

Here a few hints:
1. Never save near a harbor or other heavy traffic!
2. Never save underwater or while submerged!
3. Good sailing and follow the rules!:yep:

What type of sub do you have? I know my inflatable VIIB-rator likes to be on top...;)

Just a nasty bug and the post above on when and where to save your game.

Don't save while submerged? Considering this is a submarine simulator, this statement seems a bit much. I've been saving while submerged quite often w/o trouble. What should I expect?

These are occasional bugs, much testing has been done and there seems to be no logical pattern. Better safe than sorry.

What port did you save at ?
The ports are configured to work properly at Uboat bases ONLY
You may be lucky at some other ports

This has been fixed and will be in the Jan 31st update
I have made it so you can now dock at ANY friendly port

Docking at cities however will still leave you high and dry

This happened to me at Kiel, but was my fault, when the option come up to save, Kiel was not mentioned, but another location nearby (not a port, at the time I did not know this ) , I thought this is neat lets try it.

When I went to re-start the game I died.

Well after the update you will be able to dock at Rendsburg or Brunsbuettal in the canal should you feel the need

Yes BBW that is the name of the spot. I could not think of it.

I believe if you dock in a port that's not configured to launch sub patrols in the game, you will restart on land since there's no "starting point" defined.

yeah thats the port i saved at just testing to see if i could do it, will take your guys advice, i thought it was my bad driving. Dont ever give me a real boat !!!!:arrgh!:
