Change Type XXI Skin on GWX??? Help!!!
 
Hello,

I am trying to change the Type XXI Skin on GWX. I copy all the tga's to textures\Tnormal\tex and the skin does not show up in game :(

The only way I have manage to sucessfully change this skin is by replacing the nss_uboat21.dat but that messes with the position of some objects in game.

So, how can I change the Type XXI skin in GWX without touching the .dat file?

With other u-boats like type VII or IX it works without changing the .dat files, why doesn't it work on the type XXI?

When you say changed the dat
Do you mean swop one for another ?
Just extract the TGA from the dat and import the one you want
Not sure why it doesnt work the normal way though
Never live long enough to use the XXI so not tried it

Yes, when I say change I mean swap with another .dat file.

Simply putting the .tga files on the tex folder does not work :(

Also tryed importing the .tga files to the GWX nss_uboat21.dat but got an error of access denied and sometimes error because of size :(

Is there another utility other than SH3 Unpacker, for packing/unpacking tga files on the .dat?

Try version 2 or 3 of pack3d to import
I take it you were using the other thing - ummm chess something or other lol
