IIA + No Ladder = Broken Body

I wish to pass on my concern to the other Korvettenkapitän's of the Flotilla's who are in command of a IIA U-Boat.

It's currently 02:48hrs in the morning and I'm on a IIA training U-Boat, assessing the crew of U-36 of the 1st Flotilla. I was talking to the radio operator (Fritz Von Richtofen) when I noticed a crew member (Bernard Twinkletoes) fall through the conning tower hatch and land face first on the control room floor (this was very funny), but Bernard broke his ankle, nose, 3x ribs and right wrist. I've ordered U-36 to return to port, so we can get Bernard to hospital ASAP.:dead:

I've attched two photo's (for the investigation) of both hatch ways within the IIA control room. You will notice that there isen't an ladders attached to the opening/s. So how the hell are the crew members suspose to get up/down without injury.:hmm:

Don't ask me how I got down here, I'm still trying to work that out

I await word from other Korvettenkapitän's.

Well, since it was Bernard, i'll guess some of the other crewmembers removed the ladder...i know i would have done it if Bernard was topside..:yep:

well look on the bright side

bernard wont be on the boat for the patrol, and i hardly doubt he will be on the next patrol.
but you could just throw him into the water and say he was washed overboard and he was gone when you came back to look for him

Actually this is a kamakazie uboat. Like the zero whose landing gear drop off on the kamakazie flight assuring the pilot does not get cold feet and land, the uboats ladder is pulled assuring you have no way out. It is a one way mission for your crew. God Speed!

The reason the ladders are not there is...

Bernard upon reading all that's been said about him, once topside and even tho injured, managed to pull the ladders up with him with the help of his cousin Swartzy. He then said "screw you all" and left, taking the ladders with them. The ladders are now sitting in the back of the get-away ambulance. Hopefully the crew will have a successful mission and RTB to kick his sorry a$$ back to Berlin. Hopefully via the long route. ;) And shoot his cousin too. :D

If your Bernard is anything like MY Bernard, even though he's injured and in the hospital, he'll mysticly be back on your boat the minute you set sail.

You people are all so lame.

If there's no ladder in your boat, just use the *%^($% elevator!

Bah! Elevators are for girls. Be man enough to flush yourself outside via one of the tubes, swim to the bridge, man it for hours in wet cloth and get back into the boat after your watch in a gravity assisted way! :arrgh!:

Cheers!

Screw this ! They needed instructors for the IIA's but this was not in the contract ! I'm going back to the mighty 11th Flotilla in Bergen Norway.

That sounds like the Cannonball Run! :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOL... never thought of that K_P. I liked that movie but Gumball Ralley is my favorite. Cobra vs Daytona Ferrari, the ultimate dual of that era.
