Flower Corvettes
 

Good to know I can still bully the little feckers in GWX :arrgh!: Stalking a massive convoy one of its escorts was strangely isolated and coming straight towards me, wouldn't be the first time I've had a little tiff with these gits, I surfaced and whipped out my deck gun, came out with barely a scratch and the convoy minus one escort :up:

Thing is I was feeling a bit frisky and getting into attack position for the convoy I noticed another Flower as its leading escort, assuming there'd be another miles away. Course, I surfaced and charged straight towards it, my experienced crew aiming for it cannon, it wasn't long before it had to rely on its puny machine gun for the remaining scuffle. I was too focused on this though to listen to some shells whizzing by, only noticing when suddenly I found a few of my comrades had just been killed. Searching for the other Flower I noticed a huge Revenge Class in the middle of the convoy (First one I'd ever encountered too) :down: The damage was severe by the time I got out of sight, I had to drift off to Lorient with my tail between my legs, but of course that other Flower had the good sense to zero in on me, I couldn't maneuver or avoid its DC's :down:

There are only two escorts I hate in sh3 and that's the Flower class and the black swan. before GWX I use to duel it out with guns against the flower class and usually came out best.But since GWX has come out I only duel it out with a Flower once and won,but that was at extreme range and the weather hazy could never get close enough again to try it out for round 2 but now am in 44 i actually dont fancy takein on any DD on the surface.

I surfaced to take on the Flower with my Deck Gun in GWX and they machine gunned my gun crew.:nope:

Anyone tried machine gunning the enemy crew by manually using the flak guns?

all i've ever managed to do with flak guns is blow off the D/C's thats about it. well them and the life rafts.. otherwise it does nowt.

I'm still in 1940 so they'll probably get better in terms of accuracy later on, but here I just managed to stall it I think with my first few rounds to the waterline, then I just got behind it and finished it off out of the range of the machine gun

Ah yes, my first play of GWX I surfaced for gun action with a corvette. I had known I can shoot off his cannon(1.1a version) and make him a fishing vessel. I was wrong:oops:. You guessed it, sunk on my second patrol:oops:....as usual:shifty:
