HMCS Chilliwack was a Flower Class Corvette, her armamaent was as follows:
1 × 102mm 1 × 40mm 2 × 12.7mm / 7.7mm 2 × MG Lewis ASW (DC×25-40) IMHO the damage was done by 40mm shellfire :yep: |

there is a better photo.... at the bottom of the page. |
I'll do you one better. Here's a picture of U-333 returning home after she was rammed by the tanker SS British Presitige off of Florida.
http://uboat.net/photos/u333-damages.jpg So you think Kaleun Peter Cremer turned around and went home when this happened? Nope! Here's what he wrote in his war diary after this happened: "Intention- ahead into Straits of Florida. Surfaced by day, in no circumstances return home without steamer." He ended up sinking 4 ships on that patrol. :o |
anyone saw the picture of an german boat with a big whole and i mean BIG whole in the stern torp section? holy ****. seems to be from a depth charge...and it reached the base. the photo shows the boat in the repair-dock.
