Re Smoke

Hi Anvert, I agree with you the squareish edges are a bit of a pain, though the smoke looks very good, almost the best smoke mod I have seen, is there any way you can re do the mod to fix the edges, my PC sklills are too primitive to be any help

It is necessary to make alpha-channel more accurately.

Are the any frame rate drops with the new smoke?
Is compatiable with GWX?
I mean in the sence that it does not brake anything that makes up the GWX package.?

Very nice, I can only imagine what can be done with the SHIV smoke.

Pascal, you need to put all your stuff on FileFront, so they will all be in one place. Sort of like a Pascal museum, one great collection of excellent mods.:yep::up:

BTW, I'm looking for the IXC Late War skin, I lost it doing a System Recovery, and I found a link in a search, but the link is no good. This one : http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...highlight=Late

Yes you right and if someone can do it better with, as you said, an alpha-channel more accurately, it will be nice. I dont known how to do that (i have a lot of things still to learn ...)

It might be the resolution of the image. I'm looking at the tga file in photoshop and the blocks appear all over the image. So its the resolution quality of the image rather than the alpha channel that is causing the blocks. I don't think you can smooth out the edges because the engine takes the image and copies it over and over on top of itself...so there isn't really an edge you can refine or smooth out.

The original image is blocky if you zoom in and look at it.....it is also 72 dpi. The tga file used in game is standard of 256 dpi. He just needs a higher resolution image to work from instead of crappy blocky low resolution pic from net.
