Two sailors died on the USS Minneapolis St. Paul SSN-708 over the holidays. The boat was leaving a port in England and 4 sailors were washed overboard as they were transiting. The 2 that died were tethered to the deck, the other 2 were divers. A wave washed them all overboard, but the 2 that were tethered to the deck got beat up real bad from being slammed repeatedly into the side of the boat.

One was a 2nd class Sonarman, the other a Senior Chief who was the COB (Chief of the Boat).

Apparently they were assisting the harbor pilots departure when the accident occured.

I will remember them and their families in my prayers.
