Offset Bearing Wheel

I know this has been mentioned before and I couldn't seem to find it with a search. I am talking about the bearing-distance wheel which appears on the nav map when you zoom way in. As I use my own plotting method, I wondered if there is a simple way to remove this offset wheel,or if it is tied to a lot of other things. I am running GWX with Com 2.7 and the GWX version of 6 dials.
Thanks for all the tips and help!

Bump-

From the less than enthusiastic response to my previous post <grin> I assume that either:
a)The answer is already out there somewhere and I just can't find it.
b)This wheel cannot be easily removed, or
c)I'm the only one that this issue bugs (lol).

Anyway, a Happy New Year to all....

a) If the answer was out there someone would have pointed you directly to it.

b and c) I should have answered sooner, but I figured if I didn't someone else would tell you how to fix it. I don't know about anyone else, but I honestly am not sure what you are talking about.

Can you post a picture?

Are you talking about the 1500 meter bearing overlay?

I believe it is a 1500 or 2500 metre overlay - it is slightly off centre, and just bugs me....

@SS

It may be called a "bearing wheel," "range wheel." As I recall, many things. When zoomed in on the navigation map, it is somewhat off centre. I just wondered if I could get rid of this particular item - without screwing upGWX!!~!

The bearing overlay is a tga file located in the subs folders, one for each sub type, just replace them with the original ones (ie : NSS_Uboat7c_shp.tga is the one for type VII).
