The medic

Quick question here..... is there any point in having him, and if so, how do I use him when my crew gets a couple of holes in them?

Morts 12-28-06 04:19 PM

i think fatigue recovers faster when hes around (same "room" as them)

mookiemookie 12-28-06 04:34 PM

Yes, fatigue heals faster and I believe he has a positive effect on wounded crewmen.

If you have a wounded man, stick him in the same compartment as the Doctor and he will heal

AVGWarhawk 12-28-06 06:01 PM

The old Doc helps with fatique(shot of schnapps) and helps the wounded.

If I have too much crew in quarters, I put the others in an unused space (electric if using diesels & diesels if using electric) and put the medic in with them.. They don't seem to fatigue as quickly..

Since I rarely need a medic (my guys usually die outright :x ), I transfered my medic qualified petty officer & picked up a newbie that I qual'd as a flak gunner. One of my officers is also a medic & he can play that part as well..

Good Luck!!

@Captain Stabbing

Where abouts do you live in BC?

danurve 12-29-06 11:25 AM

I also thought it would be helpfull to have a medic in both quarters.
Still learning the game playing single missions and haven't ventured a carrer yet. Dang fatigue rotations are driving me nuts.

Just in case you aren't aware, there's a very popular program called "SH3 Commander". One of the many things it allows you to do is give you fatigue options including 'No Fatigue', which will eliminate the need to rotate men all the time.

Of course you still need the medic to heal a wound.

I never found any use for him I have only had 1 time my crew were wounded and when I returned to base the game said am dead.I consider him and that stupid NCO with the watchman qualification totally useless.

Jimbuna 12-31-06 09:54 AM

The qualificatin I find of no use/benefit is 'Helmsman' :arrgh!:
