Where Did My New Rank Go?
 

At the conclusion of my 11th GWX patrol, I was informed by the game that I had been promoted to Kapitanleutnant. Great news!

However, although SH3Commander recognized this fact, my rank in-game was still being shown as Oberleutnant when I next opened the main menu and subsequent screens.

What's going on here? Is there a way to edit the game .cfg files to correct this? I worked hard for this!

Did you upgrade your boat ?
IIRC one of the pains in SH3 is that when you reach a certain renown threshold you get promoted
If you upgrade your boat or buy a new one the renown level drops below that threshold so your rank drops

:roll: The SH3 Devs did most things outstandingly well and a few things like this in a way that makes no sense :doh:

Nope...no upgrades. The promotion came on 7 Jan, 1942 after coming in from patrol #11.

I closed the game and exited. When I came back thru SH3...although SH3 was acknowledging the new rank, the menu screen and subsequently, the screen recap prior to a new mission was showing Ober.

I'm about ready to scrap this command and start a new one. How disappointing!
