Change of pace.
Haven’t loaded the new puppy GWX yet, probably will not until I have a computer upgrade.
Anyway, I was in GW campaign last night, late 1943, when I came upon a convoy, I was trying to work my way around it to get in front but ran into a destroyer, after much time and trouble I finally got him, was really into it, what’s the word, immersed, when I used that nasty camera to see what damage I did to that escort, when I zoomed in and saw the Stars and Strips my heart skipped a little, I know it’s just a game, but that half a second it was what the @@%%$^##@ |
If your PC can handle GW you should have no issue with GWX. I actually get better frames with GWX than I did with previous versions.

I run a dual install with NYGM and GWX and didn't so far see a difference in the frame rates. Lower is in ports where I go down to around 20 but still acceptable and I run them on a laptop with only 512 k RAM and a 128m graphic card. So don't hesitate to download it ...

You should find GWX no heavier on your computers resources than GW was

I, as a low end user, second this. GWX runs way better then GW 1.1a did.
