The guy's been shaken up pretty badly, but I'm willing to believe a reasonable part of what he says. Not the details, but the general sense and the general dehumanizing attitude. Why do I think that? It's in line with a lot of truthful accounts from other similar wars. I am having much harder time believing that the Iraq war is some sort of fantastic exception to the nature of this type of war.

What has been done by Republican Leaders in the U.S. government? Let’s American people to know the fact that, [sic] they have to take more vigorous and rigorous stands. I'm not sure what that has to do with a fruitcake like Jessie MacBeth, who likes to violate Exparte Orders of Protection and make up stories about how as an army ranger he was given orders to murder large numbers of Iraqi men, women, and children.

I certainly don't know what a liar like MacBeth has to do with being a Republican.
